Now, I wouldn’t call myself a ‘beauty guru’ of sorts, I mean I’m 17 and I still don’t understand how some beauty product work. But I do enjoy a good bargain and even more, I love a good dupe.
The other day I was organising my makeup when I came across a palette I received as a gift for christmas, ‘W7 In The Buff’ and I had used it months ago but it only hit me when coming across it again that it looked exactly like Naked 2. I was astonished at the similarities that I thought it was a joke? The packaging is the same colour, shape and the colour are literally all the same. So then I did my research and oh my god
W7 is the dupe of dupe brands.
When scrolling down their website and google images, I started to notice more products that were similar. Their 12 eyeshadow palettes are all dupes, or as they'd put it in the description of one of their palettes, Natural Nudes, they are '12 inspired shades' for the Naked palettes.
Lightly Toasted is a dupe for Naked 1,
In The Buff is a dupe for Naked 2,
In the Nude is a dupe for Naked 3,
In the Night is a dupe for Naked Smokey AND
In the City is a dupe for Naked Basics 2
Although admittingly there are the odd differences, the colour payoff and pigmentation is a lot stronger in the Naked palettes but that's what you'd expect with a £28 difference and one being a much higher end brand. Some say that you shouldn't buy these and just save up for the Naked palettes, my response is that by all means save up for the Naked palettes because they are an amazing line of palettes with amazing colour pay off and pigmentation. But these are just as good, they aren't 'Urban Decay' standard as it is a drugstore brand. But if you can't afford the Naked palettes or, if you're like me, you're not sure if you'd use the colours in the Naked palettes or if they'd suit you so you want a cheap alternative to experiment with first before spending all that money, these are the palettes for you! This is the same with all their dupes really, I mean if the products were exactly the same then W7 Cosmetics would get their ass sued off (I'm surprised they haven't, these products literally are the same!), so there obviously will be minor differences in these products to what they are duping, but if you are looking for cheap alternatives to high end products, you may find this brand helpful.
Other dupes I found by W7 Cosmetics that I think are really cool and worth trying out are:
THEY'RE REAL MASCARA VS ABSOLUTE LASHES
Although I've heard comments that they're real has a much thicker consistency than Absolute Lashes, it's undeniable that the packaging is almost the same even down to the font!
TWO FACED PINK LEOPARD VS W7 AFRICA.
These are very similar!
Although the Too Faced Pink Leopard is a lot more glittery and has a stronger pigment.

BENEFIT GEORGIA VS W7 CANDYFLOSS
BENEFIT HOOLA VS W7 HONOLULU
I was particularly attracted to this because of it's name and similar packaging, although arguably the W7 bronzer is slightly darker, the consistency and pay off is the same.
SOLEIL TAN DE CHANEL VS W7 BRONZING BASE
These bronzers are very similar, although the Chanel one seems to give a much stronger colour but that'd be expected for the price difference, although again the packaging and colours are so similar.

EOS LIP BALM VS W7 LIP BOMB!
And those are all the dupes I could find! there's so many more though that I'm sure you could find, I'm astonished at how they could get away with such similar dupes really and it really interested me. Obviously these are dupes, not copies, so one product may out preform the other, you may find a W7 product better than what it's duping and vice versa but again, if you're looking for cheap alternatives for high end products I recommend checking out W7 Cosmetics.
Thanks for reading and as always, have a lovely day xo
